Lisa Gade reviews the Lenovo IdeaPad Y580 laptop. This is a 15.6″ Ivy Bridge notebook with switchable Intel HD 4000 graphics and Nvidia GeForce GTX660M dedicated graphics with 2 gigs VRAM. We look at the 00 list price config that comes with a glossy 1080p display, Blu-ray player, 2.3GHz Intel Core i7 3610QM (quad core) CPU, 8 gigs of RAM and a 1TB 5400 RPM HD with 32 gig SSD. Other models are available with Core i5 and i7 dual cores as well as faster Core i7 CPUs.
